    Merci pour votre question.

    Le projet de la rue Gagnon est à la base un projet de séparation de réseaux d’égout ayant pour but de réduire les déversements d’eaux usées dans la rivière Richelieu, tel que prévu dans le plan de gestion des débordements. Ces travaux sont nécessaires entre les rues du Cap et Richelieu, puisqu’un système d’égout unitaire conforme aux normes de construction de l’époque est encore en place, contrairement au reste de la rue où les réseaux ont été séparés lors de travaux antérieurs.

    Lors de la planification des travaux, les 2 courbes mentionnées dans votre commentaire ont été prises en compte.
    • Une piste cyclable en site propre (complètement séparée de la chaussée) est prévue, afin de sécuriser les déplacements des piétons et cyclistes;
    • Les interdictions de stationnements seront réévaluées en fonction de la nouvelle géométrie de la rue, afin de garantir la sécurité des usagers de la route;
    • La réduction de la largeur de la chaussée aura un impact d’atténuation de la circulation (réduction de la vitesse).

    Quant au tronçon entre les rues Goya et André-Labadie, dont le pavage est en mauvais état, il sera refait dans une séquence ultérieure. En effet, le Programme de réfection des rues prévoit la réfection de cette section dans un horizon de 0-5 ans.
